Weather
A tropical rainforest climate, also known as an equatorial climate, is a type of tropical climate in which there is no dry season. Tropical rainforest climates have no pronounced summer or winter; it is hot and wet throughout the year and rainfall is heavy and falls throughout the afternoon frequently.
Average daily temperatures are at around 27°C throughout the year. Extensive cloud cover and heavy rainfall prevent diurnal temperatures from rising much over 33°C.
Rainfall is heavy and is usually convectional.
Transport
Transport within Singapore is mainly land-based. Almost all parts of Singapore are accessible by road, including islands such as Sentosa and Jurong Island. The other major form of transportation within Singapore is rail: the Mass Rapid Transit which runs the length and width of Singapore, and the Light Rail Transit which runs within a few neighbourhoods. The main island of Singapore is connected to the other islands by ferryboat services.

In Singapore, cars and other vehicles drive on the left side of the road, as in neighbouring Malaysia.

Part time work during studies

Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate
International Students in Singapore to be considered for an Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate (EPEC) by Ministry of Manpower Singapore (MOM), they must possess selected university qualifications.
The Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate (EPEC) allows foreigners to stay in Singapore for up to one year to facilitate their job search in Singapore. Successful EPEC applicants are required to apply for a one-year Visit Pass from the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA) to allow them to stay in Singapore for 1 more year. EPEC or 1 Year Visit Pass does not allow or certify the holder to work in Singapore. Once candidate secures an employment, the employer is required to submit an Employment Pass application to the Work Pass Division for consideration. Candidate can only start working after the Employment Pass application has been approved. EPEC is issued on a one-time basis and is non-renewable.
